ASUSTOR Snapshot Center has been released, providing even more protection for your data. If files inside a NAS are infected or encrypted by ransomware, snapshots may be a possible way to restore the NAS to a previous state or restore files before infection.

To use snapshots on an ASUSTOR NAS, the volume must be formatted with Btrfs. With snapshots, important data can be stored in a NAS and have previous versions of information saved, so that when a file is infected or tampered with, the original file can be restored easily.
