Upon initialization, an ASUSTOR NAS gives you the choice to install preloaded home or business apps. What is the difference between these two options?
The difference is that when the NAS is initialized, in addition to the 11 core functions used to manage and control the NAS, the system will automatically install applications that meet the different needs of various types of users, saving time from manually downloading them later.
Selecting “Home/Personal Applications” will install apps that home users may find useful. These are multimedia applications which include, but are not limited to: SoundsGood, LooksGood, and PhotoGallery. You can use your NAS to listen to music, watch videos, view photos, connect with various TV applications and so much more!
Selecting "Business Applications" will install apps that work with various cloud storage options, such as DataSync for Google Drive, DataSync for Dropbox, as well as installing anti-virus software. Data stored in your NAS can now be synchronized with the public cloud, adding an extra layer of security thereby making the NAS super convenient to manage.
